FOR THE BLIND.
MARIST EROS.’ CONCERT. An impromptu concert was held at the Marist Bros. School yesterday after nmm on the occasion of the school closing down for a fortnight. A small charge was made and Hie pro- i cri’ils devoted to the funds of the Sir! Arthur Pearson Memori; I, for the as- : sistam-e of the blind. A pleasant afternoon was spent, several pupils from the convent contributing instrumental ami vocal items to the programme. The boys rendered several choruses and i ndi vid li.; I items, a feature being tlm enthusiast i<- rendering of flu- latest football chorus “Katie Casey.” As a result of the function the sum of .I'3 12 - was liamled in by the h’ev. Bro. Herbert last evening for the assistance of the blind. We beg to thank the Marist Bios, for their effort. 'l’he school has closed for a fort night for the purpose of allowing the new school to be built on the site adjoining the present one.
