SHIPPING CO-'S PROFITS.

SYDNEY, May 18. Sir Janies Burns, presiding at the annual meeting of the Burns, Philip Company, said that there had been a diminution of £2,000,000 in the turnover lesl year. Tli-e reduction was mainly due to reduct'd values of exports and imports and lessening prices. The net prolit. equalled two per cent on the total cash receipts for the year.
