SHIPPING CO-'S PROFITS.
SYDNEY, May 18. Sir Janies Burns, presiding at the annual meeting of the Burns, Philip Company, said that there had been a diminution of £2,000,000 in the turnover lesl year. Tli-e reduction was mainly due to reduct'd values of exports and imports and lessening prices. The net prolit. equalled two per cent on the total cash receipts for the year. The future was regarded as uncertain, in view’ of the fear of strikes and the unsettled European affairs.
