■ LOCAL MEN’S HANDICAP. The following is the draw for the : Men’s Bogey Handicap to be played on the Ornoto Links on Saturday next: —Shallcrass plays Kent. Sime plays Meldrum, Donnelly plays Fletcher. Seddon plays Oxford. Kettle plays Cairney, Reynolds plays Dr Gregg, McKechnio ; play Thorpe, Pratt plays Hawkins, D. ; McKay plays Rollit, Parkinson plays O’Callaghan, Ross plays O’Neill, A. Parkinson plays Mirfin, A. Smith plays | Stenhousc, Lynch plays May, Coates plays Cameron. The Coolona Social Club has donated £l'/9/-, being half the proceeds of their social at Cobden, to the local fund on behalf of the blind. A man who was arrested at Otirn on a charge of stealing spirits, appears here to-day at the S.M. Court. The Government has authorised the spending of £5(l to repair the truck 1o the Copeland Pass over the Southern Alps from Franz Joseph Glacier, and also £250 to repair Haast Pass Track, the latter being conditional on the Westland County spending £5O on tho work.
