FOOTBALL.
WEST COAST RUGBY UNION. ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the above on Saturday night at the Star Hall, there were present Messrs T. O'Donnell (ehair), A. Dunford, D. McKay, J. F. Wilson, Allison, C. Rose, J. Heffernan, C. Heaphy, L. Armstrong, J. Rothwell, R. Nelson, J. Guy, W. Giesking, J. Beaumont, J. Fairbairn, Captain Cox (Secretary). The balance sheet and annual report were received as most satisfactory. It was resolved that the delegates of the respective clubs should furnish at next meeting the names and numbers of boys between the ages of 14 and 16 years available in the case of each club for a fifth grade competition. It was decided that the committee should visit Victoria Park with the object of marking off two playing fields, and that formal application be made to the Trotting Club for the use of the ground on the usual terms. A motion of condolence with Mr Mouatt on the death of his father was passed. Notification was received from the N.Z.R.U. that April 30th will be the last date on which applications for reinstatement of League players under the Rugby Code may be entertained. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. ]’resident, Captain Cox; Vice-Presid-ents, Messrs A. Adams, T. O’DenneU, and J. Heffernan; Treasurer, Mr J. Fairbairn; Trustees, Messrs J. F. Wilson and J. Fairbairn; Vice-President N.Z.R.U., Mr D. McKay; Auditor, Mr M. Keating; Custodian, Mr W. Deere; Delegates to N.Z.R.U., W. Perry (Wellington) and a local representative to be appointed at next meeting. It was decided also to hold over' till next meeting the appointment of Secretary.
