The Regulus discharged her cargo yesterday and sailed early in the afternoon for Westport to load for Wanganui. She leaves Wellington on Thursday on return to Greymouth, via way ports. The Karori arrived yesterday morning from Wellington. Included in the vessel’s cargo is a quantity of iron rails. After the discharge of which she will load for Wellington and Napier, sailing about midnight to-night. The Waimea leaves Onehunga tomorrow for Greymouth, via Nelson and Westport. The Alexander loads at Picton on Thursday for Greymouth, via Westport and should arrive here on Friday.

The Orepuki is expected to leave Lyttelton to-morrow for Wellington and Greymouth. The vessel will bring general cargo and should arrive here about the end of the week. The Kaituna was scheduled to leave Timaru yesterday and Lyttelton today for Westport and Greymouth with general cargo. The Kamona is expected on Friday from Wellington to load coal for Oamaru, Timaru and Dunedin. She will sail the same day for Westport to complete. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. WELLINGTON, January IG. SYDNEY, January 16. The Marora has arrived from Gisborne. When 500 miles from Sydney on January 2, the ship struck a gale. Her rudder was carried away and for four days the vessel was at the mercy ' of the storm; then a temporary rudder was rigged. The ship headed for Syd- ’ ney and later secured the services of a tug, which towed her in.
