LAST NIGHT— 'A PAIR OF SIXES' The last screening will be given tonight of "A Pair of Sixes," starring Taylor Holmes. WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. % "IN THE GLOAMINQ." On Wednesday and Thursday evenings, Pollard's will present, a beautiful and pathetic story, founded on the old song, "In the Gloaming. " The wif e, believing herself a widow, had married again, and not until too late was she brought, face to face with the man she believed to bo dead. How the happiness of the lovers was brought about by the sacrifice. of the ex-convict, makes a powerful climax to a tensely dramatic story, which has been magnificently produced by the Broadwest Company, with Miss Violet Hopson, one of England's most noted actresses, in the lead. It is a -picture of distinction, away from the con- ( volitional, and is a fine example Of the pictures that Britain rs proGucing since the war. MINERS' HALL, RUNANGA. To-night in the Miners' Hall, Runanga, Pollard 's will present the 9000 feet British play, ' ' Quinneys. ' r ' The play from which the picture is taken is founded on Vachcl's famous novel, and had a tremendous long in London, chiefly owing to the splendid acting of Henry Ai'nley. A feature of to-night's display is the screening of tho first episode of thc> now serial/ • ' Smashing -Barriers,' ' starring William Duncan.
