Some time ago the Grey "Returned Soldiers' Association decided to organise for a holiday camp at Te Kinga during Christmas week. Arrangements were made and an adevrtisement published asking fof the names of those willing to join the camp. However, the response was so poor that' at a meeting of the Organising Committee heTd on Saturday morning it was decided to give up the idea of holding the camp at Chistmas time and to hold it at E.aster instead, when it is hoped more willrespond to the invitation to attend.

A few hays ago Mr Tom Oarley was tendered a valedictory social and presentation by his work-mates at tyT^n-a-nui, on the occasion of his going to Messrs Feeny and Warrens' mill at Hari-Hari. Mr Carley was made the recipent of a very nice gold* chain as a memento of the wishes of his late comrades both as work-mate, "and; as their energetic delegate.
