SATURDAY'S RESULTS,

TEAWAMUTU, December 18. The Waipa Races were held in fine weather, and drew a large attendance. The going was good. Results: — Hurdles. — Capsal 1, Keystone 2, Sea Deil 3. Also started: Pavilion, Golden Petal, Lombardy, Wanganui, Kautahoe, Grand Canyon, Silver Lode. Won by two lengths. Time 2.53. Kihikihi Handicap. — Tinohora- 3, Over There 2, Monocrat 3. Also started: Caballero, Teiki, Miss Leslie, No Mistake, Boko, Bang, Lady Lilac, Flowing Bowl. Won by a length. Time 1.16 2-5. Waipa Maiden Handicap.' — Queen's irp 1, Royal Mark 2, Brodick 3. There were SO starters. Scr.: Recreation, Menace, Master Kolian, Knighton, St. Wipa, Lady Pctain . Glcnvale, Shell Shock, Lady Lilac, Wainiatahinc, Lady Glissas, Gidgi, Leithficld. Time 1.3 2-5 Teawamutu Cup. — Woody Glen 1, [Glen Canny 2, Starkind 3. Also ran: Manganiahoc, Prince Willowhyx, Cleft, Gold Kip, Tinop.ai, Lady Energy. Starland was favourite. The field were bunched together practically all the way. It was a sterling finish, the placed horses being separated only by noses. Time 2.11 J. Flying Handicap — Arran 1, Esthonia 2, Golden Bubble 3. Also ran: Right and Left, Lightning, Tinokaha, Dead Sweet, Persian King, Jolly Princess. Won by a neck; third horse half a •length away. Time? 1.15 3-5. Paterangi Handicap. — Forest Gold 1, Lovclight 2, Bitholia 3. Also 'ran: • Independence, Explode, Lupcrino, Cantoris, Boko, Harrington, Tui, Cltve. Won by three lengths. Time 1.45 2-5. Oraku Handicap. — Infante 1, Boomaday 2, Miss Melva 3. Also ran: Miss Leslie, Heathermoon, Peroma, Flowing Bowl, Wanigan, Waircrc Maid, Stammer, Aircraft, Dixiphonc, Knighton, Menace, Awareka. Won by a length. Time 1.17 1-5. Ohaupo Handicap. — Dribble 1, Rockfield 2, Tinohora 3. Also ran: Monocrat, Independence, Sanacrc, .Arch Laddie, Silver Pine. Won by half a hdad. Time 1.30 1-5. The totalisator handled £30,157, compared with £23,710 last year.
