FIRE ON REMUREA.

WELLINGTON. Dec 18. Shortly before ' seven o'clock this morni.ig a fire Avas discovered in the cargo in the lower 'tween decks in No ;> hold of the Ngav Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Remuera, lying at the King's Wharf. The brigade Avas summoned and -after a sternupus fight of three hours succeeding in extinguishing the outbreak. A quantity ofi wool and flax was destroyed. This was the third fire of the same nature on overseas vessels at Wellington this year.
