SCHOONER IN DISTRESS

SYDNEY, December 16The schooner Inca is in distress and is being towed to Sydney by the Cosmos, i'he captain a.nd crew took to the life boats on Monday and have not been heard of since.

(Ree. December 16, 9.55 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 15. The Federal Naval authorities advise that they received a wireless from th© steamer West Holbrook stating that she had rescued the mate and nine members of the crew, alsofe the Captain's wife, and baby from the sailing ship Inca life boat. The Inca was abandoned by the crew., and is being towed to Sydney. As they are all Americans, the West Holbrook is taking them to San Francisco. It appears the Captain : remained aboard the Inca.
