BRITAIN'S NAVAL SUPREMACY.
AMERICA WANTS IT ENDED
OR WILL COMPETE WITH IT
(Rec. December 8, 5.5 p.m.i % NEW YORK. December 6. The United Press Washington correspondent states that- it is learned on good authority that if President Wilson does not succeed in inducing Britain to abandon her idea of sea supremacy, then the United States will proceed with her programme, which is destined to make the strength of the navy of the United States equal and perhaps superior to the power of England on the seas.
What the President will a^k for is gradual disarmament, and the pooling of naval strengths in an International Navy.
