WOMAN COMMITS SUICIDE.
WELLINGTON, October 12. Annie Hodtlor, a married woman, aged '62, committed suicide at Featherston last night by taking poison. N.Z. AVIATOR DECORATED. LIEUT. COOK'S TRAINING. : WELLINGTON, October 12. [ Flight-Lieut. W. W. Cook, who is mentioned in the cables to-night as; i having received the Military Cross, is a son of Mr W. Cook, of Palmerston North. Lieut. Cook joined the aviaition school at Kohimarama, Auckland,' Where he had a very brilliant career. He left New Zealand with the 21st Reinforcements in January last. A recent letter to his people . stated that Lieut. Cook had been detailed for j duty with the Royal Flying Corps on , , the East Coast of Scotland, where as I ho expressed it, they were engaged in i "Zep. strafi'ing."
