AT BULLECOURT.
HEAVY GERMAN ATTACKS/ ADVANCED POSTS WITHDRAW SLIGHTLY LONDON, May" 15th 1.40 p.m. The High Commissioner reports :— Sir Douglas Haig reports small successful engagements -south eastwards of Epehy early this morning. The enemy heavily bombarded us at Bullel' court and on the Hindenburg line I again twice. The counter attack on the; Hindenburg line failed and the Bullecourt attack was also repulsed after heavy fighting. Our advance posts on the north western portion of the village were forced back a short distance but our artillery stopped the hostile counter attack. Southwards of Loos we carried out successful raids in the neighbourhood of Ypres. A. few prisoners wore taken.,
