FRENCH ATTACKS REPULSED

(Rec. April iq, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON. April 18. A German official message states: Artillery activity is again intense in the sectors of the Arras battlefield. We repulsed French attacks on the Redulner ridge and the, Craonne height? north-west of Villeau. Bois wood and neaj 'Legfidot Courcv on the Aisnecanal. .We checked fresh '. attacks in the Champagne preceded by the strongest artillery preparation on a twenty kilometres front. Our counterattack reo-a.ined riortion of the wood between Moronviltc-c Anherive. We took prisoner fivn huncrre^ men during Monday* fighting. "We de-twenty-six armoured and brought down eighteen aeroplanes.
