POLLARU'S PICTURES

— ♦* — _ ' The clever and versatile display given last evening by Pollard's Pictures in .the Opera .House will be-re-peated to-night for the last time. On Wednesday evening a Triangle KayBee masterpiece, "Bullets and Brown Eyes," that claims to be a more, charming romance than "The Prisoner of Zenda," will be the star attraction. The story of "Bullets and Brown Eyes," like that of "The Prisoner of Zenda " is set among the hills of two mythical 'European Powers who are at war with each other. Prince Boris '(played by William Desmond) and the Countess Olga (Bessie Barriscale) are the leading characters in the stirring narrative, and both pass Ih rough, many^ adventures before the unexpected climax. Not only is the story of strong interest, but the production is claimed, to be the best that Thomas 11. Ince has yet put on the screen. Realistic battle scenes on a big scale are introduced and throughout the whole production the acting is said to be remarkably clever and convincing. The supporting programme consists of war news, scenic studies, clever comedy/ and music by the full orchestra under Mr. Resteaux.
