MATINEE TO-DAY. "Stolen Magic," the big Keystone comedy presented lust evening at the Opera House and the splendid supporting pictures will be screened at the matinee to be given at the Opera House this afternoon. The same programme will be screened in the evening for the last time. SUNDAY EVENING. '/The Fighting Chance," a dramatisation of the American author Robert W. Chambers 's book of that name. The drama follows. .. the book _with great fidelity. The biggest success over known in picture business in Wellington has lately been scored by Chambers 's later work "The Common Law." The plot of "The Fighting Chance" turns on a beautiful society •girl married to a man who has inherited the taint for alcohol. She herself had the same taint, but won her battle against it, and she gives to the- man of her choice "a fighting chance" to assert his manliood and win her love. The end sees him triumphant over the vice, aided by the woman. The tense situations in this J forceful filming of a forceful story are j brightened by many a flash of humour. ' The supporting pictures consist of' 'The Wager," a Vitagraph domestic drama; "Help Those in Need," showing the making of artificial limbs; the - scenic, "In the Italian Alps," and the official war film. "The French on the Summit of Mount Langekapt." The orchestra under Mr. Resteaux will perform the incidental music.
