LONDON, December 19. 1 1 Mr Massey visited Manchester. At J the Corporation luncheon in the Town } Hall the Lord Mayor proposed the I toast, "Success to New Zealand, 5 which was cordially honoured. T ■ Mr Massey, responding, said that 5 peace terms were "made in Ger--1 many." It was impossible to forget 1 the "barbarous and brutal methods by r which Germany carried on the war. 1 Germany must understand that we 1 were not going to be bullied or caj--1 oled into, a premature peace. v\e 1 must avenge the death of many gallant men and make a repetition of > this terrible war impossible, and thereby secure a peace whereof all I would be proud. e|
