Advices from Switzerland state [that the Kaiser had a narrow, escape . at Verdun, a French/shell exploding near by and killing several of his staff and destroying his -motor. Official bulletins sfiid that he was not hurt,, but he in-! expeetedly went to Potsdam, It is believed that he was^ struck by a fragment or severely^ shaken.
