GOVERNMENT MONEYS.
Rifle clubs' group rifle meeting for moneys given by the Government took place at Hokitika yesterday. The weather conditions could not have been worse. About thirty riflemen from the Grey, Hokitika : and- Kanieri clubs competed. The-^ following is the pri^e list : Riflem.-m J. Kulsen (Kanieri), TOpts. 1; prize £1 10s. Rifleman A. Dale (Kanieri), 65, 2, £1. Rifleman G. Head (Kanieri), 61, 3, 15s; Rifleman Boyd (Kanieri), 4, 7s 6d. Rifleman F. Winfams, 58, 5, 7s 6d.The following won 5s each: — P. Webster 58, F. E. "Naylor 56, H. Lawson 54, R. Morris 52. G.l Anderson 52,' P. McKenzie 47, G. W, Moore 46, A. TJpjohn 45, A. Haub 37. F. Sanfofcl 35, AJ E. Empson 31, P. HamWeton 29. A number of competitors did not finish owing to heaA'y rain setting in. , -.
