SERBIANS SPLENDID FIGHTING.
A GERMAN APPRECIATION
(Reed. 8.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 21. The "Munich Custena!chrichten ' ' describes the Serbians as offering n most determined resistance. j Position . after position. In the Morava Valley was only g-ained a^ter the fiercest fighting by rearguards. It must be admitted that the Serbians are magnificent soldiers despite their rough appearance. Their armament is irreproachable, and the numerous sharpshooters concealed in the rugged mountains caused us considerable losses. The artillery is not particularly good despite the guns given by the ETig-, lish. - Unlike the Rusians the Serbians do not burn and do not destroy everything and we obtained large supplies of grain and cattle. The weather continues wretched and roads miserable,- greatly impaling' j progress.
