AUSTRO-GERMANS BUSY FORTIFYING.
(Reed. 7.5 p.m.) PARIS, October 20. M. Nandean at the Russian headquarters, states that the Austro-GeV-mans are constructing immense fortifications along the rear between the approaches to Riga and the Dneister. A thousand navvies are working day and night around Lemberg with - a view of stopping the Slav wave now f reforming for a westward' advance.
