THE TOTALISATOR.
MELBOURNE, October ' 21.— Mr Munrt}', commenting on the WestraliAu Horse Tiaciiig Committee's report, said that the introduction of the totalisator in Victoria Avas desirable from a revenue viewpoint but it could not be introduced with the Government taking all the profits. The clubs would have to run the totalisator. How to divide the profits was the problem. There was, however, no chance of the Bill passing this session. Though a majority of members favoured the totalisator they were far from agreeing to the details of the Bill.
