ZEPPELIN.
OVERTAKEN BY MISHAP. PARIS, October 19. A Zeppelin dashed into a chimney at Pilkinjrton Bros., North Mauberge. All the crew were killed. DANNEVIRKE, This Day. Regarding the torpedoing of a transport, a Dannevirke resident has received a letter stating that it was the troopship Southland, which left Alexandria on August 30tli and was, torpedoed thirty miles from Mudros at 9.30 at night. Brigadier-General Lytton died of exposure and shock aud about 50 men were drowned or killed. The hospital ship .Neuralia picked up many "men. The troopship, which carried the second Australian division, also General Legge and- headquarters staff, was eventually beached at Mudros.
