One hundred and thirty girls, in tier above tier, Forming a Union Jack, the flag we love so dear, Arrayed in the old flag's colours, they were a pretty sight, And I'm sure young and old must hjp'c enjoyed themselves that night. Mrs. M. Hannan, a lady whom you all know so well Presented a silk flag, which helped the Belgian fund to swell. Liverpool, Massey, l-erkm?, Webb, in letters black and white. Are the names printed on the flag which I brought throe figures that night. The auctioneer was a man whom we all like and trust, One ff nature's true noblemen conscientious and just, A friend of the old and poor, who chance to come his way, Never to puffed up to speak, like some who reside in Grey. A toast to the names of Hanmn, Woodward, and Henniker, H. Harley, and Tom Pollard, whom one and all aver; Have so nobly and generously helped the nations call, For they're jolly good fellows and God will reward them aIL I trust I've not offended those whose names are written here, But I can 't restrain my pen, it must give them a cheer; They had so little time, and the success achieved that night, To versify such noble deeds,l think it is only right.
