OrERATIONS REVIEWED. The High Commissioner reports from London, under date of June 9th, as follows : — ■ in the Shavli region the reinforced enemy arranged to deliver a number o£ persistent attacks in the directfon of Double. The Russians on Monday left the village, concentrating before Shavli. On. the Lower Doubissa the Russian offensive proceeds satisfactorily. On Sunday the enemy succeeded in pressing the Russians, who counterattacked, making 2,000 prisoners. The enemy's attacks on the forfiScations from Ugarstberg to Zhidatchen were without result. At the latter place the Russians captured 300 prisoners, six officers and two Maxims. On the right bank of the Dneister, in the direction of Sewka, the Germans trapped 200 and killed several prisoners with | the bayonet. The enemy's attacks oetween Sewka and Loukwa were repelled.
