OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.
LONDON, June 9Mr. Asquith, speaking in the House of Commons, said that the casualties among the British expeditionary forces in Franco and the Mediterranean to the end of May were: — KILLED. Officers 3,32? Other ranks 47,015 WOUNDED. Officers 6,488 Other ranks 157,482 MISSING. Officers •• •• -• -. 1,130 Other ranks 52,617 The naval figures were not complete, but would be gi/en on Tuesday. '
LONDON, June 9Hundreds of city, business and professional men have enrolled in the Volunteers' Munitial Brigade to put in the week-ends at Woolwich Arsenal ammunition making.
