MINISTERS' SALARIES.
POOLING OBJECTED TO.
LONDON, June 9. In the House of Commons, on the question of Ministers' salaries, Sir A. K. Markbam objected to the reported pooling of Ministers' salaries. (Disorder.) Mr. Asquith said that he was surprised and pained. If they were going to discuss how Ministers disposed o I their salaries that was the end of all decencies of public life. Absolutely he declined to acknowledge the right of the House to enquire how a Minister spent his salary. He would never consent to hold office under such conditions. The matter was allowed to drop.
