GERMANS USE INCENDIARY BULLETS.
(Reed. 9.45 p.m.) LONDON, June' 9. British "Eye Witness" reported that the Germans at Souchez are using incendiary rifle ammunition. The bullets are filled with sulphur which ignites on discharge, and burns during the flight and increases the severity of any wound. FRENCH GOING FORWARD (Reed ii. 20 p.m.) PARIS, June 10. OFFICIAL. — -We progressed beyond northern island at Neuvelle and also in south' eastern part of the Labyrinth GERMAN OFFENSIVE BEGUN. BELGIANS CRUELLY TREATED. (Reed. 12.15 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, June 10. Thc\German affensive started yesterday with a furious attack southward of Ypres, and a heavy artillery duel at Dixmude. The troops, withdrawn from France, have arrived at Banges. The Germans are terrorising the Belgians, owing to their refusal to do militaiy wrk, and executions on a large scale have occurred. Many public men have been arrested. Verxheuzen, the Burgomaster of Hessen, near Willebrock, died in prison because his guards forgot to give him food. It was then officially announced that he had committed suicide. BRAVE CANADIAN AVIATOR'S ACCOUNT. (Reed. 12.15 a.m.) LONDON, June 10. Two airmen who accompaned Warnefcrd, left him in order to bomb Evere. Warneford eontnucd alone and sighted a Zeppelin at six thousand feot. He got above and thendropped within fifty feet, and loosed his bombs. Tlie sixth struck the envelope fair and square in the' middle. Instantly there was a terrific explosion, and . the displacement of the air - * was so great, that it seemed like a tornado. He added: My machine was tossed upwards, and then flung upside down, and I was forced to loop the loop despite myself. I thought the end of everything had come. In the whirl I had the pleasure of seeing the Zeppelin falling in a cloud of flame and smke. Then, by a miracle, my aeroplane righted tself and I came to the ground.
