A SECRET MEETING
PARIS, April 28. "Le Temps" reports that a secret meeting in Constantinople of leading members of the Union Committee, from which Germans were debarred, decided to allow military events to take their course at present, but if Germany fails to provide adequate assistance a separate peace should be sued for at 'any price. PARTS, April 28. Talaat Bey presided at a secret meeting at Constantinople and dwvlt on the •lability to indefinitely defend the Dardanelles owing to lack of ammunition. An Austrian invasion of Serbia to join Hie Turkish Army would alone save f he situation. Enver Pasha and Haiil Bey pointed out the uncertainty of the Carpathians. If, however, Constantinople was seriously imperilled they should negotiate for peace immediately.
