Definition of Local Eaces. — A race open to horses which nave been " one of the Counties of Buller, Inangahua, Westland or Grey, or any West Coast borough for at least three months prior to the race, and owned by residents of the said counties or boroughs. The Committee to be sole judges of whether a Horse is qualified or not. - The Committee reserve the right '{to ' refuse any nomination without giving any explanation. Rules 172, Rules of Trotting.— By the entry of or endeavouring to enter a horse, every person having or subsequently acquiring any interest in such horse shall be deemed to accept aU the conditions and restrictions imposed or implied by the Rules, and to be barred from questioning the action or conduct of th 9 Club, or other body holding a sports meeting, or of any other official of the Club or such other body in re--Bpect of such horse or any person connected therewith otherwise than provided for in Part XXX.
