THE COMMONWEALTH OFFER. Received 8.20 D.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 16. In reference to the Government's offer to receive a number of Belgian widows and orphans, Mr. CoghLan has cabled the thanks of the authorities. The proposition will be submitted to the King of Belgium^ who, since he has been on the field, has been practically out of reach of the Embassy. _ ■■■_ . ■ - . He desires that the offer be not withdrawn^ The Prerhier states that the offer holds good.'
