CAPTAIN BOLLON'S REPORT

(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 16. Captain Bollons reports that he has been out to the Kairaki, and that the diver^ who has inspected the hull, has reported as follows : — "The Kairaki lies neaily upright, with about 20 degrees of list inshore. "The after-part of the vessels is sanded up to the level of the deck. "The forepart is clear. "The starboard side is clear to the bilge, and the top of the starboard propeHor is visible. "The fore hatch and the bulkhead of the top-gallant forecastle is smashed in. "The after-part of the combings of the fore-hatch is carried away. "The master's room and the officers' rooms and the forecastle are gutted. "There is no sign of bodies. The after-hold is full of sand. "The hull* of the vessel is intact as far as can be seen. "Nothing more can be done."
