SUDDEN DEATH
BLENHEIM. CM. 6. James Gane, for 50 'years a settler at Wairau, died somewhat suddenly last evening. He was a prominent figure in local politics and was for five years chairman of the Spring Creek Road and River Board. He was one of the founders of the A .and P. As sociation. He was 72 years of age.
