"" All* the Uems were well rendered.', but Narcissus and theMarche Militaire may be sngled out for special mention. Mr. Moss was -assisted by Mrs/ York*, wlso is t 'universally admitted to be facfle pf^ncips ;as an 'organist 1 on this 'side qf . the Alps, and her playing- was education in. itself. She.. played Grand Offertoire in .F (Balrete), and her magn'ficpnt worfc was -rewarded with a cordial outburst of applauseShe pjaved as an, encore' "Lead Kindly X.ight," 4 the familiar^ hymn being Tendered, with^ great -expression. Mn Har-* rison was the only vocalist. t He sang Alits;en's "Song of Thanks^iyimg," a number in which his splendid voice was heairy to fuJj He .as an encore "AH-'Tfttough the Night." Thej^nstrumeixtaLtrio /'La Serenata" for .yioljn^celk) a^for-g-aji 'v^as play-' ed by 3/Tessr.s . G. Holder, C- Moss and E. Moss. " This was well rendered 'and ,a an .encore the players responded wjth, "The Link Divine." The Choir under Mi*-. G. T- More sang the amthems "Abide With (Thompson), and "Crossing- the B,ar"' (Woodward). The Rev. W. Tirotter who presided, thanked the choir and those who had assisted at the recital. He said that if the nig-ht'had not been so extreme-, ly 'disagreeable the church would ihave been crowded!. . A collection wais. taken up in aid of the church funds."
