Every bridge, road, part of a road, or crossing hereby or hereafter declared by the Council to, be dangerous, shall be indicated by "a disc and a sign post marking each* end of such bridge, road, or part 'ot a road, or crossing respectively, the white side of each disc facing towards the bridge, roadj part of a road, or crossing where the danger is deemed to be: and tlie sign posfc ' having painted thereon, cfe'arly and conspicuously," so as to be legible to a person 1 travelling along the road .towards the dangerous part the .words "Dangerous for Motors. No motor car shall be driven or operated unless' such motor car is- fitted with two independent brakes in good working order, and of such efficiency that , the application of either to such, motor car .shall cause two of its wheels on the same axle, to be so held that the wheels shall be 'effectuaflry prevented from revolving, or ' shall have the same effect in stopping the (motor car as if such wheels were so held. .Provided that in the case of a motor not being a motor car this clause shall apply as if, instead of two wheels oil *he same anxle, one wheel was therein referred to. 1 24. No person shall ride, any bicycle on , any road within the County unless such bicycle- is fited with an efficient brake. 29. No person shall ri&A a bicycle on any footpath, nor on any part of a road constructed and set apart for" foot traffic. These by-laws shall come into force and operation on the date of the publication in the Gazette of a notice of the approval by the Governor of several, sums appointed to be paid to the County Fund for the licensing of vehicles. Tho above resolution was passed at a Special Meeting of the Grey County Council, duly convened for and held at the office of the said Council at 11 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, the twenty-fifth day j'of February, 1914, and was confirmed r,s a Special Order at a meeting of the s&id ,Council, duly convened for, and held at 'the office of the Council at 2.30 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the seventh day of April, 1914.
