The fololwing 1 were elected unopposed :—Mayor, Mr. T. Franklin; Councillors: Messrs. Ncwl'ands, Watson. Tcasdale, Swallow, Shan.nahan, Talbot. Ward, Curtain iind Dr. Usher. For the position of one representative of the combined districts of Runanga and Brunnerton on the. viiey District Hospi'.al and Charitable Aid Board, the following were nominated : James Creagh.—Proposed by W. Fisher, H. Griffin., and John Ward. Thomas Latimer.—Proposed us W. Mantach and E. Goodwin. This election takes place on April 30th. .
