To be run under the New Zealand Rules of Trotting-. , Placed horses at meeting •doing better time than previously done by them may be nominated for a -higher class at the meeting. The Stewards shall be the sole judges as to the eligibility of horses to enter for such higher class. Such nominations may;; be made at any time up to ten minutes after the finish of the last race of the first day. Amateur riders, as defined by the Rules of Trotting. • Definition of Local Races, — A race open to horses which have been in one the Counties of Buller, Inangahua, Westla.nd or Grey, or any West Coast Borough .for at last three month's immediately prior to the race, arid owned by rsidents of the said Counties or Boroughs.
