TO BREAK UP TRUSTS.
SYDNEY,- August 23. The Labour Council discussed a motion that in view of the exorbitant prices of meat, wheat, potatoes and butter, the import duties on such commodities should be at once removed. The mover suggested a temporary removal of the import duties on New Zearland meat and butter. Another delegate suggested the opening- of the market to New Zealand goods to bring in competition to break up the trusts. The debate was adjourned.
