CRIMINAL SITTINGS.
•CHRISTCHURCH, May 14 The criminal sittings were continued. In the case of .Robert James .Wright, charged with attempting to carnally -know, was continued. The jury, after twenty minutes' retirement, found prisoner Not Guilty. John Madne, convicted of entering a -.dwelling house by night, was sentenced -to- three months. The trial of Walter Richard Sadler on a charge of unlawfully using an instrument with intent, was commenced. The Criown evidence was similar to that given in .jt t bje i Lower Court. The" defence was t-hat the act was one of indecency only. There was no intention to commit the crime charged. The trial is unfinished.,'.
