A YEAR'S IMMIGRANTS.

WELLINGTON, Sept 21
A return presented . this afternoon on the' motion of Mr McLaren (Wellington East) shows that 2482 persons were brought into the dominion during the year ended M^anch 31st, 1911. By means of assisted passage. They included 496 farmers, 734 domestics, 317 wives nominated by husbands in tho dominion, one dressmaker, ,5 miners, -o.no horse collar maker-, and one fisherman. The ['remaining 927 persons Had no occupations. Tbey comprised wives coming out with their husbands and others not being adults or dependent on their parents.
