Tho Harbour Board to-night considered tenckrfs for a new tun". There were twelve tenders, eight from firms in the Old Country, two from firms in China and two i;iom local firms. Tho tenders irannod from £18,500 to .£24,000. and it was eventually agreed to accept the tender •of Messrs Stctvemson/ and Cook. P '■•••* Chalmers, at £22,778, with a proviso that th« tu*^ bo built locally.
