The death iis announced to-day of Ma* W. C. Meedings, formerly of Nelson/, and father of Captain Meedings, of -the local Defence Office. Mr Meedings -was for seven or eight years, inspector elf Telegraphs d-n this district and was an extremely popular officer.
There passed away in Melbourne the other day Mr. Martial Cussen, M.L.A., Victoria, formerly of New Zealand.
