ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.

A woman named Emily Aitken, wife •of a boardinghouse keeper, jumped from the wharf at the .breakwater last night, presumably with the intention of plunging into the sea. She fell, however, on a ledg-e of rocks and ■ was rescued by a wharf official with--out having sustained any damage beyond a thorough drenching iby sea water. The woman was arrested and will appear before the Court to-mor-row. -
