General: — The general attainments of the .pupils of ithis school are very satisfactory, and my examination affords ample 'evidence' that a good year's work has been accompli, h^-i by the teachers. --. ■ - .?. .■ . : .; . ' The arithmetic, spelling. >and composition of Std. Ill; arithmetic, spelling and drawing of Std. II; recitation of. Std. I; arithmetic and science of Std. VI;, and the ; singing of the whole school were all welt worthy of special mention. Writing is,- however a weak subject in almost every; class, and a determined effort should be made to effect an improvement in it. With atmriHance of room and a well equipped and well staffed school, this should not.be a very, difficult matter-. Reading also will require some attention. With the exception of. Stds.
