Blackball-Papajoa track and tramway on same; > It was decided to call Mr Perotti's attention to the matter. Application by Hanna and party for permission to deviate the Hohonu' road near the 17 mile peg. It was decided that the Engineer's suggestion be given effect to. After considering- the Engineer's report on the question of a water supply for Ahaura it was resolved that no action be taken. Proposed track from Ahaura-Hau-piri road about tnree miles above Erickson's sawmill- to Ahaura river. It was resolved that the Engineer's report be given effect to and that no action be taken. Letter from Noel" Peat asking permission to lay a tramway along the Irishman's -track at the "end adjoining Lake Brunner. It was resolved that the engineer's report be given effect to and that. the application be refused. 9V! le otion <>f Or. Larkin seconded by Cr. McCarthy it was decided that the sum of £100 be voted tor the purpose of giving the school children a treat on the occasion of the coronat.ion of King George V. The Council then adjourned till 10 a.m. this morning. On resuming this morning considerable discussion took place as to how - th ,f m , onev r was t°- *>c allocated. H inally Cr. Hargreaves moved that the allocation should be as follows :— Every school attendance of 5 scholars or under £1, ev er y, school attendance over 5 up to 10 scholars £2, every school committee £B, the balance to be d'.vided anxm.^st" all .- lC hools having an attendance over 10 scholars pro rata for number on rolls. : This \vas seconded t by Cr.
