WEATHER FORECAST

: The weather summary and forecast are as follow: — Heavy rain has fallen in some parts northward of East Oape and Kawhia, and rain has commenced in other districts of the North Island, while cloudy and hazy weather has spread elsewhere. High easterly winds have prevailed northward of East Cape and Kawihia, and variable winds generally. Present indications , are for the passage of a storm area oiver the North Island, with heavy rain on the East Coast. The rivers are flooded and heavy seas and high south-east-erly winds are probable in .the north, and strong, southerly winds are expected elsewhere shortly. Rain and unsettled weather is probable generally. The barometer is falling again shortly in the north, but rising in the south to-morrow.
