WEATHER FORECAST
The weather . summary and forecast are as follows: — Anticyclonic
conditions have prevailed in the north but the barometer has fallen steadily in southern districts during the past 24 hours. Southerly winds prevailed on Saturday and Sunday morning*, hut freshening northerlies in the south to-day. The weather uas been generally fine but unsettled on the West Coast and southern districts of Southland. Present indications are for strong southerly winds veering t6 westerly in the north and a heavy westerly ga^e veering 1 to southerly, in and south Of Cook Strait. Rain and stormy weather is probable generally. The oarometer will probably fall everywhere "but rise smartly in the South after afcbut 18 hours.
