CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 15. Thie Christchurch "South branch of the Labor Party, at a largely attend ed meeting on Friday, agreed unanimously to a motion urging^ upon Gov ernment, in view of. the result of the recent prosecutions of Bowron Bros in evading of land and income tax, .to request the Hon G. J. Smith to hand in his resignation of his seat in the Legislative Council.
