Several New Zealand sportsmen wer amoingst the interested ' specta tors at the final gallops this morning. Gold Lace and ArtiiJlerie had an attractive gallop of seven furlongs, finishing together in 1.341, though Artillerie was allowed to hold the position oniy an sufferance. Master Soult cut out a male in 1.45 a record wMch Broadsword equalled. Golden .Slipper and Crucinella were content with slow work. Effort beat Chauvelin over six furlongs in 1.20. •■ ■ Sunburnt accounted for seven furlongs in 1.345; ... Equitas ran five furlbngs in 1.8. Mundic had the worst of a set to with Apple Pie over six furlongs cut out in 1.21. A number of other good gallops wei"e done, but there was nothing sensafTonai.
