FIRE AT NEW PLYMOUTH
ANOTHER BLAZE

NEW PLYMOUTH, April 26. A fira broke out aTjout 11.30 on Saturday night in Deare's bookshop, in •■<>> block recently purchased by HallGiistein Br o?.. right 'in the ce>ntre of the t-own. A high wind was blowing and the fire .obtained a, good hold but was suppressed in twenty minutes. Hallenic^e'tn's insurances are £2,100 on the building, £15,000 on the stock in various offices. Deare's stock was insured for £1300, .Reynolds Company,, bicycle dealers^ £100, and the New Plymouth Club furniture upstairs £325. Deare's ecTtimate of His loss is between £1000 and £1,300 and the Club's at £50. Reynolds and Hallenstein's stock is damaged by : water but no estimate ; s yet formed. Probably the heavy dam age to the buiMingd will be covered by £200 or £300. ; \ *
